Out of 15 applicants 2 of our students were chosen by a panel to represent TKIS at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.  TKIS was the only school to have 2 students chosen, with one of our students, Mansimer, carrying the torch on Legacy Day.

The Shrine of Remembrance Young Ambassador program provides an opportunity for young people currently in year 8 and 9 to participate in programs and commemorative events at the Shrine.

The Young Ambassadors key role is to act as leaders and representatives of future generations at the Shrine. They encourage their peers and other young people in their communities to gain a greater understanding of the importance of remembering and honouring Australia’s service community and military history. Young Ambassadors are appointed for a twelve month period from December each year.

We are so proud of our students, Manismer and Macklin, for proudly representing our school and your involvement in the Young Ambassadors Legacy Commemoration.
